Goldbar Park, part of the River Valley Alliance in Edmonton, Alberta, offers cross-country ski trails for all levels including the popular Goldstick Park and Capilano Park loops. The Riverside Golf Course trail is also available for skiing. An interesting fact is that Goldbar Park was once a gravel pit and redeveloped into a park in 1962. For beginners, the Capilano Park trail provides a gentle introduction to skiing. The nearby Sugarbowl Café is a great spot for après ski drinks and snacks.
