Hermon Mountain
Hermon Mountain ski resort in Maine is a family-friendly destination with great slopes for all abilities. The best trails include the steep and challenging Sting, and the wide-open Cruiser for beginners. An interesting fact is that the resort was originally a small, community-run ski area in the 1960s and was purchased by the current owners in 2000. For beginners, the ski school offers affordable lessons and a children's program. After a day on the slopes, the on-site bar, The Loft, is a popular spot for après-ski drinks and live music. Overall, Hermon Mountain is a great choice for a fun day of skiing in Maine.
