Kinsmen Ski Resort is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, specifically in the Kootenay Rockies region in British Columbia. Some of the pertinent mountain ranges near the resort include the Purcell Mountains and the Selkirk Mountains.

The resort itself is situated on Mount Mackenzie, which offers a variety of challenging terrain for skiers and snowboarders. With an elevation of 2,225 meters (7,300 feet), Mount Mackenzie provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
