About this Location


Sunshine Village ski resort is located within the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, Canada. The resort is situated in the Banff National Park and is surrounded by several mountain ranges and peaks.

The main mountain range that Sunshine Village is a part of is the Continental Divide, which separates the watersheds that flow into the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. This range includes Mount Standish, Lookout Mountain, and Goat's Eye Mountain, all of which provide a variety of terrain for skiing and snowboarding.

Other notable mountain aspects of Sunshine Village include the Sunshine Meadows, a high alpine meadow area that offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Assiniboine and Mount Bourgeau. The resort also has a variety of chairlifts and gondolas that provide access to different slopes and runs, as well as a backcountry area known as Delirium Dive, which offers challenging terrain for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

The resort's best trails include the Delirium Dive, Wild West, and Goat's Eye Mountain.
