It is 20 feet wide and has a paved parking lot adjacent to it with enough space for 24 vehicles and trailers. The ramp provides access to Lake Russell, which is a 26,650-acre reservoir located on the Savannah River.
According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, a variety of watercraft are permitted on Lake Russell, including motorized boats, non-motorized boats, and sailboats. However, certain restrictions apply to different sections of the lake, and boaters are advised to consult the latest boating regulations and safety guidelines before launching their watercraft. Additionally, there may be certain seasonal or weather-related restrictions in place, so it is advisable to check local boating reports and forecasts before planning a trip to the Millwood Ramp.
