The Leavis Flat Camping Area is located in the Sierra National Forest of California and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Nearby points of interest include the Dinkey Creek Visitors Center, Shaver Lake, and the John Muir Wilderness. The campground has 29 first-come-first-serve campsites with amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. Visitors can enjoy fishing and hiking in the area. The best time to visit is from May to October when the average temperature ranges from 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It is important to note that there is no water or trash service available at the campground, so visitors need to bring their own water and pack out their trash.
