There are no toilets (occasional pit toilets at trailheads), no water, and no hookups; campers must be self-contained. Some sites have fire rings, but picnic tables are rare. RVs are allowed on many roads, though conditions vary. The high-desert scenery features open meadows, rocky outcrops, and stunning views of the Collegiate Peaks. Popular nearby activities include hiking, mountain biking, and off-roading. The best time to visit is late spring through fall for mild weather and accessible roads.
