Nestled in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness near the Bitterroot Mountains, this high alpine lake area features stunning views, a peaceful, remote vibe, and forested surroundings. No amenities are provided—no toilets, water, fire rings, or picnic tables—so campers must be fully self-sufficient. RV access is not recommended due to rough Forest Service roads. Popular nearby trails include the trail to Granite Lake itself and other routes into the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. Best visited July–September when snow has melted.
