There are no established campsites, toilets, water, picnic tables, or hookups, so campers must be self-sufficient. Fire rings may be found but are not formally maintained. Tucked within Shawnee National Forest, the area features forested scenery with rugged bluffs, making it peaceful and remote. Nearby attractions include the River to River Trail and Garden of the Gods. Best visited in spring or fall for mild weather and vibrant foliage. High-clearance vehicles are recommended for access, and RVs are not advised due to rough roads and lack of amenities.
