...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Rock River at Moline affecting Rock Island and Henry IL Counties.
.An ice jam will continue along the Rock River leading to at least
minor flooding. Ice jams are difficult to predict, so be prepared
for rapid localized changes along the river and be prepared to move
to higher ground quickly.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rock River at Moline.
* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Water affects
residences near the 27th Street bridge. Water is over portions of
60th St south of Green Valley Sports Complex and portions of 56th
Ave along the north side of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CST Thursday the stage was 12.1 feet.
- The river is ice affected. Rapid localized fluctuations in
river levels near the jam can be expected.
- Forecast...The river is expected to remain around 12.1 to
12.2 feet through Friday, although fluctuations are possible.
It will begin to fall on Saturday, dropping below flood stage
by Sunday evening.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
