Charlestown State Park in Indiana offers a picturesque setting surrounded by forested hills and the Ohio River. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, and biking trails as well as a swimming pool and playground. The campground features over 100 sites with electric hookups, modern restrooms, and showers. Reservations are recommended, and the campground is open year-round. The best time to visit is in the fall when the foliage is colorful, and the temperatures are mild, with average highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
