The Sutton Camping Area offers a variety of amenities to its visitors, including potable water, flush toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits. The campground provides a rustic camping experience with no hookups or showers available. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, read a book, or take a nap in a hammock.

The campground operates on a first-come-first-serve basis and offers 13 primitive campsites, each with a picnic table and fire pit. The campground is a hidden gem located in the Tillamook State Forest and is often less crowded than other nearby campsites.

An interesting fact about the area is that it was originally used as a logging camp in the 1930s and was later converted into a campground.

The best time to visit Sutton Camping Area is during the summer months when temperatures range from the low 60s to mid-70s, making it perfect for outdoor activities. It is important to note that the campground is closed in the winter months.
