Reservations aren't required; sites are first-come, first-served and free—no permits or fees. Amenities are minimal: vault toilets are available, but there’s no potable water, hookups, or RV-specific facilities. Campsites have picnic tables and fire rings/grills. The campground sits atop a bluff overlooking Lake Meredith, offering scenic canyon and lake views in a semi-arid, scrubland setting. It’s quiet and remote—ideal for solitude. Hiking trails like the Mullinaw Trail are nearby. Spring and fall offer the most pleasant weather, as summers can be extremely hot.
