The site requires a backcountry permit (no reservations; first-come, first-served at the Panther Junction Visitor Center) and has no fees beyond the permit. There are no toilets (pack out waste), water, fire rings, or picnic tables—campers must bring all essentials. No RVs or hookups allowed. This remote site is hike-in only and ideal for solitude, stargazing, and access to the scenic East Rim and Boot Canyon trails.
