The pier provides easy access—no boat needed—for catching species like walleye, bass, northern pike, panfish, and catfish. Fish are most active in spring and fall, especially near the pier structure and surrounding eddies. Use jigs tipped with minnows for walleye, spinnerbaits for bass, and nightcrawlers under bobbers for panfish. The adjacent boat launch allows deeper river access, but shore anglers find success right off the pier. Early morning and dusk are prime times. Ice fishing is possible in winter near quiet inlets.
