Summary

The ideal streamflow range for this river is between 500 and 2,000 cubic feet per second (cfs). This range ensures the river has enough water to create exciting rapids while still being manageable for experienced paddlers.

The river is divided into several segments with varying class ratings. The upper section, from the headwaters to the confluence with the North Fork, is rated Class III to IV. The middle section, from the North Fork confluence to the South Fork confluence, is rated Class III. The lower section, from the South Fork confluence to the confluence with Bridge Creek, is rated Class II to III.
