and afternoon to around 6000 feet, which could bring a brief
period of freezing rain. Confidence is low for freezing rain, but
the potential exists for light accumulations.
* WHAT...Snow expected above 3000 feet. Total snow accumulations
between 4 and 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Lookout Pass, Mullan, and Dobson Pass.

* IMPACTS...Winter travel conditions expected. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning

early afternoon, which could bring a brief period of freezing rain
around the Wenatchee Valley. Confidence is low for freezing rain,
but the potential exists for a light glaze of ice.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches,
locally up to 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

for area dams could maintain elevated flow levels or they could
raise or lower levels downstream of the dams. Dam regulation can
change rapidly.
Rainfall yesterday and overnight is driving area rivers back up
with new rounds of flooding occurring or upcoming.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Skokomish River at Potlatch.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause widespread
flooding of pasture lands, with water flowing quickly over West
Bourgault Road and Skokomish Valley Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM PST Thursday the stage was 17.3 feet.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise today to near 17.5 feet late
this afternoon then begin to recede. It will fall below flood
stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue to fall.

River corresponds to a Phase 2 in the Snohomish County flood

Some backwater inundation is possible in lower Mill Creek basin

system.

Landsburg downstream through Maplewood. Swift waters will flood
roads and some residential areas, especially in Maple Valley.
Flooding threatens Beyers Road. A stage of 5.7 feet on the Cedar
River corresponds roughly to a phase 4 flood in the King County
flood system.

* WHERE...White River at R Street Bridge.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 10,000.0 cfs, River flooding may occur upstream of
the A Street Bridge in the City of Auburn. River levels will
likely be up against the temporary flood protection barriers, with
flooding likely at Government Canal and Butte Avenue in the City
of Pacific and downstream of the Stewart Street Bridge in the City
of Sumner.

- Forecast...The river is expected to stay steady or slowly
rise to 8500 cfs Friday morning, remaining above flood flow.
Additional rises are likely thereafter but the timing is yet
to be determined.

rivers could still have renewed flooding.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington,
including the following counties, in northwest Washington, Grays
Harbor. In west central Washington, King, Pierce and Thurston.
* WHEN...Through Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may
become clogged with debris. Area creeks and streams are running
high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- With rivers running high and with another rain event
tomorrow, uncertainty in how much rain, the snow fall level,
and snow melt, leaves the possibility of further flooding.
This includes the Chehalis, Cedar, White, Green, and Skagit
Rivers.
