* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will vary between 2000 to 2500
feet. Snow will be heaviest this afternoon.
* WHAT...Heavy snow at times. Additional snow accumulations of 10 to
16 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will vary between 1500 to 2500
feet. Snow will be heaviest this afternoon through this evening.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Washington...
Skokomish River At Potlatch affecting Mason County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Skokomish River at Potlatch.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause widespread
flooding of pasture lands, with water flowing quickly over West
Bourgault Road and Skokomish Valley Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 AM PST Monday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:30 AM PST Monday was 16.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river will continue to slowly recede
throughout the day before a quick rise to a secondary crest
of 16.8 feet by Tuesday afternoon. River levels will then
recede further throughout the rest of Tuesday.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.8 feet on 11/23/1990.
