Patchy fog will reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less early this morning across parts of northwest and north central North Dakota, as well as the James River Valley. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions and use extra caution traveling. Use low beam headlights and be extra cautious at intersections and railroad crossings. The fog is expected to dissipate by late morning.

Today, A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 9am and 1pm. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 79. East wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
