Parker Pond, located on N. Shumaker Drive in Salisbury, Maryland, is a local government-owned recreational reservoir with a dam constructed in 1956 by Wise Hinman. The dam is primarily used for recreation purposes and stands at a height of 11 feet with a length of 350 feet, creating a storage capacity of 245 acre-feet and a surface area of 41.5 acres. The pond is fed by Beaverdam Creek and has a low hazard potential, as assessed by the Maryland Dam Safety agency.

The dam at Parker Pond has undergone modifications in 1992 to improve its hydraulic and structural components. It features an uncontrolled spillway with a width of 69 feet and outlet gates using slide (sluice) technology. The dam's condition is currently not rated, and it is inspected every 5 years to ensure its safety and compliance with state regulations. Despite its moderate risk assessment, authorities have not assigned a Dam Safety Action Classification (DSAC) date for potential risk management measures at the site.
