Built in 1993 by R.C. Gusler, this earth dam stands at 33 feet high and spans 320 feet in length. The dam has a storage capacity of 51.4 acre-feet, with a normal storage level of 28.8 acre-feet and a surface area of 3.1 acres.
Managed by the Kentucky Division of Water, Rotary Scouts Dam is primarily used for recreational purposes and is situated along the tributary Skaggs Creek. With a low hazard potential and a moderate risk assessment rating, the dam has been inspected as recently as June 2016 with a frequency of every 5 years. Although its condition has not been rated, the dam's risk management measures are in place to ensure the safety of the surrounding area in the event of an emergency.
