Central (Wright)
Central (Wright) is a gravity dam located in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, along the Ottertail River. Completed in 1921, it serves primarily as a hydroelectric facility with additional benefits for fish and wildlife pond creation and recreational activities. The dam has a height of 17 feet and a storage capacity of 400 acre-feet, with a controlled spillway width of 70 feet.
Managed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Central (Wright) is classified as a low hazard potential structure with a very high risk assessment rating.
