Central (Wright) is a gravity dam located in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, along the Ottertail River. Completed in 1921, it serves primarily as a hydroelectric facility with additional benefits for fish and wildlife pond creation and recreational activities. The dam has a height of 17 feet and a storage capacity of 400 acre-feet, with a controlled spillway width of 70 feet.

Managed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Central (Wright) is classified as a low hazard potential structure with a very high risk assessment rating. While the dam's condition assessment is not available, it undergoes regular inspections every three years to ensure its safety and integrity. The emergency action plan for the dam was last revised in 2010, and the structure is equipped with seven slide gates for water release.

Central (Wright) plays a crucial role in water resource management and climate resilience efforts in the region. With its historic significance and multiple purposes, the dam continues to be a vital component of the local ecosystem and community infrastructure.
