Mathis Lake Dam, also known as Mathis Dairy Pond, is a private earth dam located in Social Circle Community, Walton County, Georgia. It was completed in 1950 with a height of 21 feet and a length of 513 feet, providing a storage capacity of 82 acre-feet primarily for fire protection and as a stock or small fish pond. The dam is classified as low hazard potential and has not been rated for its condition assessment.
Although the dam is not regulated by the state and has not undergone recent inspections, its risk assessment is considered moderate. The dam features an uncontrolled spillway and outlet gates, and its associated structures are listed as none. The last inspection of Mathis Lake Dam took place in May 1987, and the dam's Emergency Action Plan (EAP) status and risk management measures are currently unavailable.
