Cabana Club Lake, located in Guthrie, Oklahoma, is a private water resource managed by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board.
This picturesque lake, fed by TR-Cottonwood Creek, was completed in 1923 for recreational purposes. The earth dam, constructed with stone core and soil foundation, stands at a height of 20 feet and spans a length of 430 feet, with a storage capacity of 80 acre-feet.
Despite its low hazard potential, the lake boasts a very high risk assessment due to its location and design. With a controlled spillway and a single valve outlet gate, Cabana Club Lake is carefully monitored and inspected every five years to ensure its structural integrity. While the condition assessment remains unrated, the lake continues to serve as a popular destination for water and climate enthusiasts seeking refuge in its serene surroundings.
