Mikell Pond Dam, also known as John Mikell Dam, is a private earth dam located in Sumter, South Carolina. Built in 1965 by the USDA NRCS, this dam serves multiple purposes including fire protection, stock, small fish pond, and recreation. With a height of 18 feet and a length of 1080 feet, the dam has a normal storage capacity of 202 acre-feet and a maximum storage capacity of 418 acre-feet.
