Etna, located in Box Elder, Utah, is a privately owned dam that serves the primary purpose of irrigation. Completed in 1959, this earth dam stands at a hydraulic height of 52 feet and a structural height of 55 feet, with a length of 1400 feet. It has a storage capacity of 1510 acre-feet, with a normal storage level of 1471 acre-feet, making it a significant resource for water management in the area.

Managed by the Utah Division of Water Rights, Etna is regulated, inspected, and enforced by the state, ensuring its safety and compliance with regulations. The dam is situated on the West Fork of Grouse Creek and has a drainage area of 31 square miles. With a maximum discharge of 19 cubic feet per second, Etna plays a crucial role in controlling water flow and providing essential irrigation to the surrounding agricultural lands.
