Alma Mill 5, also known as Herman Ludwiqson - Dry Pool, is a local government-owned structure located in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. This dam, designed by USDA NRCS and completed in 1963, serves the primary purpose of debris control and flood risk reduction along the TR FIMIAN CREEK. With a height of 33 feet and a length of 575 feet, Alma Mill 5 has a low hazard potential and is classified as being in fair condition as of the last assessment in March 2014.

Managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WIDNR), Alma Mill 5 is regulated, permitted, inspected, and enforced by the state agency. Despite its moderate risk assessment, this earth dam has a maximum discharge of 1172 cubic feet per second and a storage capacity of 55 acre-feet. While the dam does not have a controlled spillway, it has undergone modifications in 2002 to ensure its continued effectiveness in mitigating flood risks in the area. With a designated emergency action plan and updated contact information, Alma Mill 5 remains a crucial water resource infrastructure providing essential protection to the surrounding community.
