Gomulak and Profitt, also known as Glendenning Dam, is a private water resource structure located in Burnett, Wisconsin. Constructed in 1969 by USDA NRCS, this concrete multi-arch dam stands at 17 feet high and spans 600 feet across Glendenning Creek. With a storage capacity of 360 acre-feet, it serves the purpose of regulating water flow and providing flood control in the area.

Managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WIDNR), Gomulak and Profitt is classified as a significant hazard potential structure with fair condition assessment. Inspected every three years, the dam has a history of modifications dating back to 2003. While it currently meets regulatory guidelines, its emergency action plan (EAP) and risk assessment measures could be further developed to ensure the safety and management of potential hazards.

Located within the Detroit District of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Gomulak and Profitt plays a crucial role in water resource management within the region. Its strategic location and design make it a vital asset for maintaining water levels and mitigating risks associated with flooding. As climate change impacts water resources, structures like Gomulak and Profitt will continue to play a critical role in safeguarding communities and ecosystems in the face of evolving environmental challenges.
