Bowman No.1 is a privately owned irrigation dam located in Johnson, Wyoming, along the Bowman Draw river. Constructed in 2004 by designer Shawn Higley, this earth dam stands at a height of 23 feet and serves multiple purposes including fire protection, stock, small fish pond, and fish and wildlife pond in addition to irrigation. With a storage capacity of 33 acre-feet, the dam covers a surface area of 3 acres and has a drainage area of 0.1 square miles.

Despite being classified as having a low hazard potential and fair condition assessment, Bowman No.1 is subject to state regulation, inspection, and enforcement by the SEO agency in Wyoming. In case of emergencies, the dam is equipped with a single valve outlet gate for controlled water release.
