Summary

The snowpack depth currently measures 18 inches—about 33% below its seasonal average—but thanks to robust snowmaking and early-season snowfall, most major runs remain open and well-groomed. While only 0.33 inches of new snow is forecast over the next 72 hours, clear skies and moderate temperatures promise smooth carving conditions and spectacular alpine views. With a Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) of 7.9 inches, the base remains firm enough for excellent turns, especially in shaded areas and higher elevations.

Despite the thinner snowpack, Arizona Snowbowl continues to impress. Boasting one of its longest seasons ever, the resort recently opened nearly all lifts and 93% of its terrain—unmatched in the region. Crowds are buzzing from recent powder dumps and a wide range of mountain experiences, from sunset gondola rides to surprise bonus weekends with spring-like vibes. With lift tickets priced lower than a burrito, and skiers still reminiscing about an epic March that brought 100 inches of snow, Snowbowl has become one of the Southwest’s most exciting winter destinations. Get ready to ride—you won’t want to miss this unforgettable season.
