About the Area


The Greek Peak Ski Resort in New York is located in the Berkshire Mountains and offers a variety of terrain for skiing and snowboarding. The resort features two main peaks, Greek Peak and Virgil Mountain, with a vertical drop of 952 feet. The mountain ranges surrounding the resort include the Tully Mountains and the Finger Lakes Region. The resort offers a range of slopes, from beginner to expert, as well as terrain parks for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Additionally, the resort offers night skiing and snow tubing for guests to enjoy.

The best trails for intermediate skiers are Hercules and Apollo, while the most challenging trails are the double black diamond runs: Odyssey and Jupiter. Interestingly, the resort was once owned by the legendary Olympian, Virgil "Ike" Day, who designed the mountain and named many of the trails after Greek mythology. For beginners, we recommend the Odyssey trail, a green run that winds through the trees and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
