About the Area


The Labrador Mountain ski resort in New York is located in the Toggenburg Mountains, part of the larger Appalachian Mountain range. The resort features a variety of ski slopes with different aspects, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain. Some of the notable aspects of the mountain include a vertical drop of 700 feet, 22 ski trails, and 3 chairlifts. The resort also offers amenities such as a ski school, rental equipment, and a lodge for dining and relaxation.

The best trails are considered to be The Flume, a black diamond run, and The Runaway, a blue square run. An interesting fact about the mountain is that it was originally opened in 1959 as Dwyer Hill Ski Resort and was renamed Labrador Mountain in the 1970s. For beginner skiers, the Snowfield run is recommended as it offers a gentle, wide slope. The best apres ski bar is the Last Run, where locals and visitors alike gather for drinks and food after hitting the slopes.
