About this resort

Marble Falls

Marble Falls Ski Resort in the United States offers seven scenic slopes, two terrain parks, and a tubing hill. The resort's best trails include the intermediate Cottonwood and advanced Pinon, featuring spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. An interesting fact about the resort is that it was established in 1950 and is one of the oldest ski areas in the state. For beginners, the resort suggests starting on the gentle slopes of Juniper, which offer a comfortable introduction to skiing. After a day on the mountain, guests can head to the resort's Base Camp Bar for après ski drinks and snacks.

Terrain mix: Marble Falls Ski Resort in Arkansas does not exist. However, there are several other ski resorts in Arkansas, such as Mount Magazine State Park, which is home to the highest peak in the state, Mount Magazine. Other mountain ranges in Arkansas include the Ozark Mountains and the Ouachita Mountains. These mountain ranges provide a variety of terrain for skiing and other outdoor activities.

980 FXUS64 KLZK 050801 AFDLZK Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Little Rock AR 301 AM CDT Wed Aug 5 2026 ...New KEY MESSAGES, DISCUSSION... .KEY MESSAGES... Issued at 246 AM CDT Wed Aug 5 2026 -Temperatures and humidity will increase into the weekend, with heat headlines possible by Friday and Saturday. -Rain chances remain low through the middle of this week, with PoPs increasing by the end of this week and into the weekend. -As temperatures rise through the week, make sure to take breaks outside and drink plenty of water. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 246 AM CDT Wed Aug 5 2026 To begin the period, AR continues to be sandwiched between an upper level trough to the east and a strong upper level ridge to the west. This will continue to bring mild and dry conditions to the state. With that said, the pattern will begin to break down over the next few days as the next heat wave moves in later this week. As the pattern breaks down, the ridge out west will slowly expand back keeping Arkansas in eastern side of the ridge early in the week before completely dominating the pattern by late in the week. This will slowly increase temperatures and humidity across the state through the rest of the workweek. Heat headlines will likely be needed by Friday and Saturday afternoons. Additionally, PoP chances increases as we get to Friday and Saturday as NW flow settles over the region. && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1222 AM CDT Wed Aug 5 2026 Widespread VFR conditions are expected through the period. With that said, some low to mid level clouds could move through the area. Mountain & avalanche safety

Know before you go
Check today's avalanche bulletin from the regional avalanche center before any off-piste / side-country / backcountry travel. Conditions can shift dramatically between morning and afternoon on storm days.
Carry the gear, know how to use it
Beacon, shovel, probe. Practice companion rescue on a calm day, not during a real burial.
Mind the weather window
Heavy snow + wind builds wind slabs at ridgelines. The day after a storm is often the riskiest in the backcountry, even if the resort itself is open.
Respect closed terrain
Ropes are there for a reason. Even in-bounds, ducking a closure can trigger a slide that catches you and others below.

Track Marble Falls in the Snoflo app

Save this resort as a favorite, set push alerts when snowfall crosses a threshold (e.g. "alert me when Marble Falls reports 6″ new"), and Snoflo's iOS app will push the moment the SNOTEL station crosses.

FAQ

About Marble Falls

Where does the snow data for Marble Falls come from?

Snowpack, SWE, 24-hour snowfall, and air temperature come from the nearest USDA NRCS SNOTEL station. Forecast comes from the National Weather Service / yr.no feed that Snoflo's iOS app uses.

How often is the snow report updated?

Snowpack and SNOTEL data are updated continuously by NRCS (typically hourly). The 15-day weather forecast is refreshed throughout the day. Snoflo caches and renders the most recent observation -- look for the "as of" timestamp on the snowpack hero.

What's the elevation at Marble Falls?

See the Resort Metrics panel above for base / summit / vertical drop. The summit elevation drives snowpack accumulation -- higher summits hold snow longer through spring.

How is "% of normal" calculated?

Today's snowpack is compared to the average snowpack on this calendar day across every recorded year at the nearest SNOTEL. 100% means right on average; 130% is a big year; 60% is thin.

What ski resorts are near Marble Falls?

See the Other Ski Areas pill grid at the bottom of the page for resorts within driving distance. The sister Other Ski Areas card in the Plan-a-longer-trip grid above shows the closest few.

Can I get alerts when fresh snow hits?

Yes -- snow alerts are managed in the Snoflo iOS app. Favorite this resort, set a snowfall threshold (e.g. "alert me when 6+ inches"), and you'll get a push the moment the SNOTEL crosses.
