Pines Peak Family Ski Area is a small ski resort located in Indiana. The best trails at the resort are the beginner and intermediate runs. An interesting and little-known fact about the resort is that it was formerly a landfill before being transformed into a ski area in the 1960s. For beginner skiers, the resort offers a great learning area and also has a ski school with experienced instructors. The best après ski bar in the area is the Round Barn Tasting Room, located 20 minutes away from the resort, which offers wine tasting and live music. Overall, Pines Peak Family Ski Area is a great option for beginner skiers and families looking for a fun day on the slopes.
