A crisp morning greets skiers at Snowmass today, with overnight temps dipping to 25°F, preserving a firm but carvable surface across much of the mountain. Base depth stands at 14", significantly below average for late April, making early turns on groomed runs your best bet. Off-piste terrain is variable, with thin coverage in spots—caution is advised. No new snow is forecasted today, and skies should remain mostly sunny, offering stunning high-alpine views and softening conditions by mid-morning.

Despite the lighter snowpack, Snowmass crews have done an excellent job maintaining key lifts and trails for spring skiing enthusiasts. No significant local news impacts mountain operations today, so it’s a smooth day to explore the resort. Be sure to hit the slopes early to enjoy the best snow before the afternoon sun softens things up. Layers are recommended as temps are expected to rise quickly under clear skies.
