Bluewood is holding strong this April 26, with a mid-mountain snowpack depth of 53 inches—well above average for this time of year. Overnight temperatures hovered around 47°F, keeping the snow soft and springlike by midday. Expect classic spring skiing conditions: firm and fast in the morning, gradually softening into buttery turns as temperatures rise. No fresh snowfall is expected today, but the deep snowpack ensures plenty of terrain remains open for carving and cruising.
As closing dates approach across the Pacific Northwest, Bluewood continues to offer an exceptional late-season experience. Recently added to the Indy Pass roster, Bluewood is gaining attention for affordability and consistently excellent powder. Exciting news also looms for next season: Bluewood is set to install its first high-speed chairlift, promising even quicker laps. With the snow still holding strong and crowds thinning, now is the perfect time to savor some of the region’s best kept ski secrets before the lifts stop spinning.
