Summary

Despite a modest 6-inch base—currently about 61% below average—hope is on the horizon with fresh flakes in the forecast. Skiers and riders can expect 4.3 inches of new snow in the next 24 hours, with a promising 11 inches projected over the next five days. While terrain may be limited early in the season, the incoming snow could deliver a much-needed boost to coverage and carveable conditions by the weekend.

However, Bluewood’s winter buzz isn’t just about the snowfall. The resort remains in the news spotlight due to ongoing legal disputes delaying the opening of its highly anticipated Skyline Express high-speed quad. The lift, originally slated to debut this season, won't spin until 2026, an unfortunate setback for those looking forward to faster laps. While this may slow uphill capacity, Bluewood still delivers a downhome charm and affordable lift tickets that continue to make it a hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest. Powder hounds may want to keep an eye on the evolving forecast—conditions are poised to improve quickly, and Bluewood’s legendary tree runs could soon be back in play.
