The Easton Ski Area in Massachusetts is located in the vicinity of the Blue Hills Reservation, a small mountain range in eastern Massachusetts. The highest point in this range is Great Blue Hill, which stands at 635 feet (194 meters) above sea level. The ski area itself is situated on a section of the Blue Hills known as the Houghton's Pond area.
While not a traditional ski resort with large mountain ranges and expansive slopes, the Easton Ski Area offers a smaller and more intimate skiing experience for locals and visitors in the area. It is known for its beginner-friendly terrain and family-friendly atmosphere.
The best trails can be found on the north side of the resort, with the "Birches" and "Maple" runs being particularly enjoyable. A little-known fact about the resort is that it was founded by a group of local businessmen in the 1960s and was originally called "Olde Ridge Ski Area." For beginners, the "Bunny Hill" slope is the perfect place to learn the basics of skiing. After a day on the slopes, the nearby "Burger Bar" is a great place to grab a bite to eat and relax with friends.
