Kelly Canyon Ski Area is wrapping up an exceptional late-season with conditions more reminiscent of mid-winter than mid-April. Overnight temperatures dipped to a crisp 21.7°F, preserving a solid snowpack depth of 23 inches—remarkably 14% above the seasonal average. With 9 inches of Snow Water Equivalent (SWE), the base remains dense and supportive, offering skiers and riders an ideal mix of groomed trails and off-piste adventure. While no significant new snowfall is forecasted for the day, the cold overnight temps have kept the snow fresh and fast, especially in the shaded upper elevations.

Local buzz is high, with skiers rediscovering the charm and challenge of Kelly Canyon, praised in recent features as East Idaho’s “best-kept ski secret” with “endless potential.” The mountain’s smaller crowds and consistently cold conditions have created a dream scenario for spring carving. As regional resorts begin to wind down, Kelly Canyon continues to shine, offering a last chance to savor real snow this season. Whether you're closing out your season or falling in love with skiing all over again, today’s the day to hit the slopes.
