Today’s Snowmass snow report: Snowmass received 0 inches of new snow overnight, holding the base depth at 17 inches.

Summary

Snow conditions are machine-groomed with some hardpack, due to colder temps and below-average snowpack. With a snowpack sitting at 53% below average, coverage is thin in spots—especially off-piste—so stick to groomers for the best experience. Air temperatures dipped to 19°F overnight, keeping surfaces firm early in the day.

Looking ahead, light relief is on the horizon—Snowmass is expecting 9.27 inches of new snow in the next 72 hours, with a similar 9-inch forecast through the next 5 days. While today may not offer deep powder turns, it's a solid day to carve corduroy, especially with fewer crowds. Advanced skiers may want to wait for the incoming storms, but for those looking to cruise under bluebird skies or log some early-season laps, it's still worth strapping in.
