About the Area

Vallee-Bleue Ski Resort is located in the Chic-Chocs mountain range in Quebec, Canada. The resort is situated within the Matane wildlife reserve, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The Chic-Chocs range is known for its rugged terrain, deep snow, and backcountry skiing opportunities. Some of the prominent peaks in the area include Mont Logan, Mont Olivine, and Mont Lyall. Visitors to Vallee-Bleue can enjoy a variety of activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and hiking in this picturesque mountain setting.

The best trails for intermediate skiers are Borealis and Tiguidoo, while beginners should try the easy yet picturesque Les Petits Bois trail. A little-known historical fact is that the resort was originally a logging camp in the early 1900s. For beginner skiers, I suggest taking a lesson from one of the experienced instructors available at the resort. The best après ski bar is Le Mont Blanc, located at the base of the mountain, offering a cozy atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks and snacks.
