Amenities are minimal: expect pit toilets, no water, and limited fire rings and picnic tables. RVs can access the area via rough forest roads, but there are no hookups. Tucked in a remote, high-alpine setting within the Clearwater Mountains near the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, the area is scenic and secluded, ideal for solitude. Nearby trails include the Moose Creek and Elk Summit Trails, popular for backpacking and horseback riding. Best time to visit is July through September when roads are passable and snow-free.
