Gedney Creek Campground in Idaho’s Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness offers eight first-come, first-served developed campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and RV access (no hookups).
There is no potable water—bring your own or treat creek water. Dispersed camping is also allowed nearby. No reservations or permits are required; there’s no fee to camp. Tucked in a lush forest near the clear-flowing Selway River, it’s peaceful and remote, ideal for solitude and nature lovers. Hiking and fishing are popular, with trailheads nearby. Summer through early fall is the best time to visit due to snow and road conditions earlier in the season.
