Reservations are required via Recreation.gov, with a nightly fee. The site has no established campsites—just the lookout itself—and no water, toilets, or hookups. It's accessible by a steep 2.5-4 mile hike or ski (winter), making it best for prepared, self-sufficient campers. The area features stunning high-alpine views of the Gallatin Range, with nearby trails for hiking and wildlife viewing. There are no picnic tables or fire rings; fires are prohibited. Best visited July–September for clear access and breathtaking sunsets.
