The campsite is situated in a beautiful area with stunning views of the surrounding gorge and river. The nearby points of interest include the Lower Deschutes Wild and Scenic River, which offers excellent fishing opportunities, hiking, and beautiful scenery. The campground amenities are limited to a fire pit, and visitors are advised to bring their own supplies, including water and firewood.
The area is known for its scenic beauty, and visitors can enjoy hiking, kayaking, and fishing in the surrounding area. The best time to visit is from June to September when the temperatures are warm, and the weather is dry. The average temperature during this time is around 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and drops to around 45 degrees Fahrenheit at night.
It's important to note that this is a remote area without cell phone service or running water, and visitors should be prepared for primitive camping.
