No reservations are required, and camping is free with a Northwest Forest Pass. There are no amenities—no toilets, water, or hookups—so come prepared. Some sites have fire rings, but always check fire restrictions. The area is best for tent campers and self-contained RVs. Expect a quiet, rugged experience with incredible views, thick pine forests, and stargazing. Popular nearby hikes include Burnt Lake and Zigzag Mountain. Best time to visit is late June through September when roads are clear and trails are snow-free.
