Campgrounds have pit toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, and accommodate RVs (no hookups). Reservations are recommended at established sites; dispersed camping is first-come, first-served and free, while campgrounds charge a small fee. Set in a high alpine setting with stunning lake and mountain views, the area is ideal for hiking, fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Popular nearby trails include Elkhart Park and the Wind River Range. Best visited June–September for mild weather and full access to trails and campgrounds.
