Shore access is available at public piers near Garrison and Father Hennepin State Park; boat ramps located at Wigwam Bay and Cove Bay. In spring and fall, walleyes bite near shallow rock reefs; summer brings them deeper off mud flats. Use jigs with minnows or leeches for walleye, crankbaits for bass, and large spinners for muskie. Ice fishing is popular in winter, especially for perch and walleye.
