Light snow will overspread most of Southcentral Alaska on Friday. Snow will persist through Friday evening before gradually tapering off Friday night into Saturday, with the exception of the eastern Copper River Basin where light snow may linger through Sunday. Snow accumulation will generally range from 1 to 3 inches, with higher amounts across portions of the Kenai Peninsula. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for this area and is in effect through noon Saturday. Anyone planning to travel Friday or Friday night should plan for falling snow and reduced visibilities along Southcentral roadways.
