Areas of light freezing rain are possible across the Anchorage Bowl and Matanuska Valley south and west of Wasilla this morning. Any freezing rain that does fall in these areas will be very light in intensity, but could result in a light glaze of ice on untreated surfaces and cold roadways free of snow cover. A second round of light freezing rain is also possible later this afternoon or evening. However, temperatures with this round of precipitation are expected to warm to or slightly above freezing, making it more unlikely for any additional widespread glaze ice accumulations. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution when traveling. For the latest road conditions call 5 1 1 or visit 511.alaska.gov.
