The heaviest period of snow will be Friday evening into Saturday morning, with rates exceeding 1 to 2 inches per hour at times.

Summary

The ideal streamflow range for this river is between 800-4000 cfs, with the best time for rafting being in the spring and early summer. The river is rated as Class II-IV rapids, with some sections being more challenging than others.

The first segment of the river, from the source to the town of Hanna, is a Class II-III section with several rapids and obstacles, including the "Toilet Bowl" and "S-Turn". The second segment, from Hanna to the town of Duchesne, is a Class III-IV section with bigger rapids such as the "Devil's Hole" and "Little Niagara". The final segment, from Duchesne to the Green River, is a Class II section with calmer waters.
