The Granite Creek River Run on the Gros Ventre River in Wyoming is a challenging Class IV to V run that is best tackled by experienced whitewater paddlers. This section of the river features several large boulder gardens, tight channels, and steep drops that require precise maneuvering. The best time of year to float this section is in early summer when the water levels are high with recommended flows of 800-1000 cfs. Lower water levels can make the run more technical and challenging. Paddlers should be prepared for a demanding and exhilarating run through some of Wyoming's most beautiful scenery.
